Sunday Funday – 2018-04-29 – Discover African American heritage with NUPF

The African American culture has brought tremendous influence to the history of the US and Chicago in particular. For this occurrence of the Sunday Funday event series, we will learn about the most important moments of the African American history at the DuSable museum. You can join the tour at any point.

The Program:

11:30am (for Evanston people) Meet at CTA Davis Station to take the L train and head to Washington Park. We will start by having some lunch at the “Miss Lee Good Food” where we will enjoy a taste of Soul Food cuisine.
12:30pm (for Chicago people) Meet directly inside the “Miss Lee Good Food”(please specify it is NUPF).

01:30-01:45pm We will head to the DuSable museum of African American History. The museum offers many exhibits that guide the visitor through some of the main aspects of African American history, art and culture.

04:00pm We should be done and get back to Evanston.
