Sunday Funday: Explore Lincoln Park – 2018-6-24
Come and join us for a fun sunny afternoon in Lincoln Park with NUPF. We will take a tour and enjoy the main landmarks of this beautiful neighborhood. You can join the tour at any point.
WHEN: Sunday, June 24th 2018, 11:30 am – 5 pm
WHERE: CTA Davis station to Lincoln Park
11:30am Meet at CTA Davis station to take the L train and head to Lincoln Park.
12:30pm Meet in the park by the big fountain facing Lincoln Park Conservatory entrance. We will have lunch in a relaxed and sunny (if weather allows) atmosphere. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or buy from the neighbouring shops. Please bring some linen if you can to lay on the ground.
1.30pm We will head to have a tour of the Lincoln Park Conservatory. There we will contemplate some of the most amazing and exotic flora to be seen in Chicago. The tour is free. Donations are encouraged.
2:30pm We will then head to the Lincoln Park Zoo. There we will enjoy some of the most spectacular fauna there is. Tigers, lions, girafes, you name it. Admission is free.
4pm We will then finish, if time allows, with the Chicago History Museum. Come discover about the most intriguing history of our city, spanning Lincoln’s Chicago, history of the Blues in Chicago, Dr King’s time in Chicago and many more. Admission is 19$ with a 2$ discount for Chicago residents (valid ID). Groupon limited tickets can be purchased for 10$.
5:30pm We will head back home.
